World Health Organization (WHO) Strategy Aims to Eliminate Malaria in 35 New Countries by 2030

WHO Member States today agreed a new global malaria strategy for 2016-2030 and approved the Organization's proposed program budget for 2016-2017. The strategy aims to reduce the global disease burden by 40% by 2020, and by at least 90% by 2030. Malaria Cases Show Steady Decline Since 2000

Geneva - The number of people dying from malaria has fallen dramatically since 2000 and malaria cases are also steadily declining, according to the World malaria report 2014. World Health Organization Seeks Funding for Emergency Response to Drug-resistant Malaria
